Junior science refresher magazine published this article page no 12 the indian space research organisation (isro) launched the second developmental flight of the small satellite launch vehicle (sslv-d2) on february 10 2023. the launch took place at 9.18 am from satish dhawan space centre sriharikota in andhra pradesh. the sslv-d2 successfully placed the earth observation satellite janus-1 and spacekidzs azaadisat-2 into their intended orbits. the sslv-d2 is 34 meters tall and weighs 120 tons powered by solid fuel and has a velocity trimming module powered by liquid fuel. the sslv-d2 placed the following 3 satellite into their orbit : the earth observation satellite eos 07 will be used for earth observation purposes janus 1 satellite will feature five different payloads and azaadi sat-2 satellite will demonstrate low range and amateur radio communication capabilities Junior science refresher magazine subscription.
